A Stunning Winter Wedding at Toast | Ankeny, Iowa

It may have been a frigid nineteen degree January day, but watching Madison and Mason show off how perfect they are together definitely made me all warm & fuzzy inside! These two seem so happy and comfortable together - they are truly a perfect match. So much so, that they married each other TWICE!

These two actually tied the knot in an intimate backyard ceremony last summer, but this was the day they got to officially celebrate with all of their favorite people. Madison and her girls got ready at Toast in their insanely gorgeous Bridal Suite (seriously - it's one of the best!) followed by mimosas in their adorably coordinated sweats. Her dress was amazing with its sheer sleeves that removed to create an entirely new look with the same ensemble. Such a great way to provide two totally different looks from ceremony to reception! Madison's dad and bridesmaids were so excited to see her at their First Looks, but it was Mason who took a full 360 around to soak in every angle of his beautiful bride. They shared a moment of private vows before we kicked off portrait time with their wedding party and families. Madison & Mason had a beautiful ceremony at Lutheran Church of Hope in Ankeny, which was made even more spectacular by the petal tossing skills of one exquisite flower lady - Madison's great aunt! This was a first and unique experience for me, but I hope I get to see MANY more Flower Ladies in the future! (Looking at you, remaining 2025 brides!!) After the ceremony, we came back to Toast for Cocktail Hour and Golden Hour Couple's Portraits. We braved the extreme cold for a few shots on the iconic Toast balcony before needing to come back inside. Lucky for us, there are no shortage of amazing and photogenic areas within Toast, so we could still get a wide variety of amazing portraits - all without the risk of frost bite! The reception made it so clear that Madison & Mason have an incredible support system of family and friends - there was so much laughter all around!

All in all, these two had an amazing day focused on their family, their friends, their faith, and so much excitement for the future. Congrats again to Mr. & Mrs. Klisares!
