An Intimate Elopement Weekend | West Des Moines, Iowa

It was such an honor to witness Anna & Chris' ceremony in front of their immediate family. They were in the midst of planning an elaborate destination wedding in Mexico, but wanted to ensure every family member could be in attendance for their ceremony. So we met at Anna's childhood church - Lutheran Church of Hope, where they had a private prayer in the garden with their pastor before walking each other down the aisle to make it official. It was such a beautiful ceremony! Afterwards we captured a few family portraits of everyone in attendance - and found a way to stay out of the unexpected rain! (Gotta love a partially covered garden!)

We wrapped up our time together by running around downtown and grabbing a drink at their favorite restaurant, all while photographing some incredible couple's portraits - before they reunited with their families for an amazing weekend together celebrating their love. What an unforgettable day!
