Jill & Mike's wedding day has an extra special place in my heart. Not only were these two joining together in marriage, but they were officially bringing together their family as one. I couldn't help but be reminded of my own wedding day where I joined my husband and his three children as one big official family unit. It made it a joyous day on many accounts! I love witnessing the special ways Jill & Mike celebrated their family throughout their day. Naturally, their children served in the very important roles of adorable flower girl and (super tough security guy!) ring bearer. Their First Look with the kids was full of bear hugs and big smiles of how fancy mom & dad looked. Their ceremony included a touching moment of the four of them joining together puzzle pieces to show how they are now connected as one. And the dance floor was kicked off by a very special First Dance moment of just the four of them - one that definitely brought tears to my eyes because we did the very same thing at our own wedding!

It was such a fun day full of so much joy in uniting this new family of four together. And okay... it didn't hurt capturing the incredible chemistry of Jill & Mike together. I mean, there was definitely more than one occasion when I had to tell them the kissing shot was OVER... :) These two truly seem to bring out the best in each other and photographing their wedding day just felt like hanging out with old friends. Plus, Bash DSM had such fun downtown vibes and was such a cool wedding venue. And those Golden Hour portraits up on their rooftop? AH-MAZING.
