Do you remember the 21st night of September? Because Makayla & Alex always will!

If you missed that reference, go ahead and search up Earth, Wind, & Fire and you'll be pleasantly reminded of this classic tune AND the song that Makayla & Alex walked back up the aisle to after getting themselves married! These two had an insanely beautiful September day for their wedding. I couldn't get enough of how gorgeous Makayla's dress was - she seriously looked like a princess out of a fairytale! And the way Alex kept looking at her? You could just tell how head over heels in love he is. These two are so incredibly sweet together and I am SO GLAD I got to be a part of their celebration!

There were so many sentimental touches to Makayla & Alex's wedding day that made for such a sweet celebration. Makayla wore her mother's jewelry and hair pins and had custom Converse sneakers that were hand stitched by her cousin. Alex's "Best Man" was his younger sister and their ceremony was officiated by his former Boy Scout's Leader. Guests dropped off their favorite family recipes at the Welcome Table, which was an idea I haven't seen before but absolutely love! Their toasts were so heartfelt and emotional, with a repeated theme of how Makayla and Alex always bring out the best in each other. And Alex & Makayla may have had their first dance in front of their guests at their reception, but it was their private dance that they had at the end of the night that was truly memorable. They got a moment alone on their wedding day (something that doesn't often happen, but is so SO important!) and they filled it with private vows written just for each other and a beautiful dance to really soak up the meaning of the day. It was so special to witness and I highly recommend other couples consider making time for something like this on their own wedding days!
